How do we stay human in a world that so often feels inhumane?

Between genocide, fascism, climate collapse, and the daily flood of heartbreaking news, it’s easy to feel trapped in a trance of despair — frozen, exhausted, and overwhelmed by a reality that seems too big, too brutal, and too much.

But what if despair isn’t the end of the story? What if there’s a way to break that trance — not by numbing out, but by waking up and coming back to your senses?

In this 90-minute class, you’ll be guided through a simple but powerful practice to interrupt the looping patterns of stress — not through denial or bypassing, but by making space to feel, shift, and re-source your energy from within.

Inspired by a Rumi poem that invites us to “wash the heart seven times,” we’ll move through seven rounds of gentle trance-ending. We’ll literally come back to our senses by activating the built-in reset switches of the nervous system.

Come with your worries about the world and leave feeling lighter and more free. You can feel peaceful, loving, and joyful, despite the state of the world.
